Christmas Cozies

We all know Christmas can be a stressful time of year, but why let stress get the best of you? This is the happiest time of year!

Working, shopping, and everything in between can become hectic when crammed into the few days leading up to our most joyous holiday.

There are several ways to beat the Christmas rush and stay level-headed during the season.  I have listed my tips and tricks below.

  • Remember that family and friends are grateful for you no matter how much food you put on the table. Sometimes we worry that we haven’t done enough, but a loving group of family and friends knows you have done your very best.  They appreciate you for all of the time you put in, not just during Christmas but, all year round!
  • Express shop at a large department store or big-box retailer in your neighborhood. These locations have gifts for literally EVERYONE on your list! Can’t find the perfect gift? You can’t go wrong with food or gift cards.  Write a personal card to complete even the most simple gift.  I got a large portion of my shopping done at Macy’s.
  • Be a night owl… yes, really.  When you go to the mall at night the lines are shorter, the store is more peaceful, and there are plenty more parking spots available. The stores are open extra late for your convenience, so why not take advantage?
  • Enjoy some hot cocoa and sit by the fire. Nothing takes your mind off of the Christmastime chaos better than tried and true holiday traditions. Turn on your favorite Christmas movie, kick your shoes off, and sit back for an evening of relaxation.

  • Listen to classic Christmas tunes while performing household activities. Baking and Christmas music fit like a glove! Speaking of… the weather here in New England is so beautiful we may not need gloves. Take a moment to soak that in.
  • Play with your puppy.  This is an easy way to release stress and get out some of their energy.  With weather like this, you can enjoy a walk or visit to the park without freezing.  If you’re like me then you can dress your playful pup in Christmas gear and take holiday photos! We do this every season.

I am thankful to all of my blog readers this year.  This was my first year getting the site off the ground and it went even better than expected.  I hope to continue growing the site into the new year.

Here’s to wishing you, your friends and family a very Merry Christmas. Enjoy the holidays with a full heart and open mind because moments mean the most! Love, Bianca.
