Back to school styles are not just for kids returning to their first day of Elementary, Middle, or High School. Going back to college is a big deal for most of us, so why wouldn’t we plan our outfit accordingly? Back-to-School shopping is my FAVORITE part of the school year… obviously! The only thing that has changed is I purchase most of my own clothing items and I budget accordingly.
One key part about being a college student on campus is keeping my everyday style somewhat comfortable without wearing huge sweatpants and messy buns every day
This is where flannels, booties, and denim come into play. You can wear denim with pretty much everything (even denim-on-denim with the current trend). Pairing a looser-fit, but still feminine, flannel with your denim skirt, shorts, or jeans is a winning combination.
I will wear denim with a lot of my outfits throughout the week. Once the weather starts to get chilly, I’ll wear thicker flannels than the one in my outfit paired with layers of boot socks and undershirts. This week I went with a lightweight flannel and a denim skirt. Denim skirts are flirty and fun! I love wearing them with flannels like this.
These stick-on nails from Kiss are wonderful because I neglect to get my nails done most of the time. They have an incredible selection of nails to choose from that will match whatever you plan on wearing. I chose to wear my silver Alex and Anis to compliment the gray in my shirt with silver rings and my Bulova watch.
Student style can be flattering or “too” comfortable (depending on the day). This year, I will be posting many of my campus favorites!
What do you like to wear around campus in the Fall?
Great outfit! Are the booties worn without socks for the look and the weather? Great blog as well!
