It’s so true what they say… nothing gold can stay.
Today I have for you a fall foliage inspired style blog. If you are anything like me (always up for an adventure) then this style is for you. It is warm, cozy, and practical. Not to mention it is adorable for frolicking around in the crisp leaves and cool air on your outdoor nature walks and adventures.
These boots were made for walking and that’s just what they’ll do. The traction on these boots is perfect for stomping around the woods. For these fun fall photos I followed a local nature path that I have traversed before. It is the perfect spot for a gorgeous background. When you are taking pictures in the woods or are planning on making your way down a nature path it is important to wear comfortable shoes. The last thing you want is to roll an ankle or fall and ruin your outfit.

I love hats. Late fall and winter are the best times to break out soft knit hats. I have hats of all different kinds, but this can be stylized unlike some of the winter hats I own. You can pin it down and it looks great inside or outside, all day. It is a white/cream knit with small pearls embellished for design. The fabric is soft and light. I find that I need to pin it down especially when my hair is straight. I like to curl or wave my hair with a hat like this.
Denim + Fur = Dynamo Fall Combination. Faux fur vests, coats, and boots are totally acceptable this time of year. Once the temperature drops below 60 you’re free to wear all of the boots you want. For me, I started wearing them the day after fall began. Dark wash, light wash, or bold blue jeans are a practical choice for most adventures. Even better if you own a stretchy pair of leggings that are more versatile.
I love this outfit. The hat, vest and gloves keep you really warm outdoors. The boots are comfortable and perfect for running around the woods in. Accessories really can make an entire outfit and I don’t feel this would be the same without them. During the late fall/winter I start to pile on the layers for warmth. Socks for now and legwarmers to come into my outfits soon!
Nothing gold can stay is symbolic, to me, of the lovely leaves we see falling all around us. Soon they will be covered by beautiful white snow. Here is my tribute to the season we know as Fall (my favorite):
Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay.
Thanks to Robert Frost for always entertaining me with his thought-provoking poems. He’s a poet to know! If you are not familiar with him, I suggest reading some of his other famous works.
So perfect!
