We all make resolutions when the new year rolls around. One of mine (and I’m sure many of yours) is to eat healthy! I log my meals through MyFitnessPal, track all of my water intake, and record my workouts using BodySpace by BodyBuilding.com. This year I have made several resolutions that I am going to share with you at the end of this blog, in addition to one of my favorite healthy smoothies.
Vida Glow Tropics Smoothie
- 8oz. Coconut Water
- 1 Cup Pineapple
- 1 Cup Mango
- 1/2 Cup Spinach
- 1/2 Cup Kale
- Lime Wedge
- 1 Packet of Vida Glow
This recipe is super simple and is best made with fresh (not frozen) ingredients. I purchased all of these at Whole Foods for just under $20 and had enough for multiple servings. If the ingredients were not all refrigerated beforehand I also recommend adding a few ice cubes to make it cold. This smoothie contains your daily serving of fruits and veggies and is perfect to have instead of breakfast or lunch.
I used Mango Vida Glow in this smoothie to help keep my skin healthy and improve skin hydration, muscle recovery and conditioning, and boost overall energy. It’s as simple as pouring one packet into your drink! Why do I love pineapple and mango for smoothies? Because they are two of the most tasty tropical fruits full of antioxidants and vitamins. Check out the information below from Vida Glow:
Mangoes are rich in vitamins and minerals, and are one of the most nutritious fruits, consuming mangoes gives a significant boost in Vitamin C, as well as Vitamin A, Vitamin B6, Vitamin E, Pectin, Phosphorus, Potassium and Magnesium into your diet. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, and is required in the formation and production of collagen. The addition of Mango fruit powder and its naturally occurring Vitamin C is amazing for your complexion as the combination keeps your skin healthy and glowing.
This green smoothie is so delicious. I love replacing my meals with a sweet and healthy twist!
