Thank you to the Weddington Way team for hosting me and other local bloggers at their exciting introductory event.
Prior to the invite, I was unfamiliar with the Weddington Way collection. As I do with every brand and venue I work with I researched what they were all about and it got me excited! The idea of having a formal collection within an established retail store is very unique to me… I find it a pretty cool concept. Their locations expand from coast-to-coast.
Weddington Way offers a collection of bridesmaid-style dresses and separates. One of my favorite parts of the shopping experience is having the ability to look through the fabric swatches before combing through racks and racks. On the back of each fabric card is a description on what styles it comes in. I, personally, love this idea because not everyone feels good in the same style. By choosing a color and a few options you could allow your bridesmaids to pick out the dress that suits them best. I am all for that!
There are so many gorgeous colors and styles to choose from. My favorites were definitely the blush and mint shades. The dresses adorned in pearls were very chic. You can try the dresses on in store and order if they don’t have what you’re looking for available. Also… don’t worry! They have men’s neckties and bowties too at a super affordable price.
The Natick Mall isn’t my primary shopping center so I wasn’t familiar with the Banana Republic here. I accidentally walked in through the men’s section and thought I was in the wrong spot (whoops). If not for the pretty dresses in the window I may have walked right by. They really do catch your eye (see below). I liked how relaxed the store was at the time I was in there. If I was shopping for a formal dress I’d prefer to be in a location were I could think more clearly. That’s what makes Banana a perfect store for them to be in.
I loved meeting the other bloggers and Weddington Way pros at the event! They treated us to champagne, light bites, and a wonderful hair braid bar. The hair stylist was so sweet and did such a cool job on my straight hair. I’ve been trying to figure out how I can start doing this to myself and it is so hard. She used one of my favorite hairsprays from Big Sexy Hair.
How sweet are they though?! They gave us attendees the cutest gift bag with a silk floral robe inside. It is so beautiful! The base is purple and the flowers are a mix of bright spring & summer shades. It will look adorable with a hair flower and a tan from the Florida sunshine! I’ll definitely have to share a photo when I take off in a few weeks.
The brand has been featured in Style Me Pretty, The Knot, Brides and New York Times along with other publications.
