Putting together a summer style lookbook for me is all about swimsuits, sundresses, and sandals. It’s the one consistent time of year in New England when we can wear our cooler clothing items. In today’s blog I wanted to share a few of the fun styles I am loving and how you can put them together with pieces in your own wardrobe! Look 1: Denim Skirts
Denim skirts are super cute for wearing on your more casual days. I like to have them in a selection of colors including white, light, and dark wash denim. The white is undoubtedly my favorite in the summer because it’s bright and looks great with colorful tops!
Quick note… seriously ladies, don’t be afraid to wear white denim all month long. When you use the best products that time of the month then you won’t think twice. I have been loving the Tampax Radiant tampons from Walmart.
Look 2: Swingy Sundresses
Oh how I love a light and breezy sundress for those warmer days. My favorite part about summer is getting to wear all of the dresses I’ve had hidden away through the fall, winter, and spring. Every year I pick up a few more to add to my collection.
Quick note… some of my favorite dresses have come from boutiques in my area including this featured piece from Max & Riley. I feel there are more flattering dress cuts based on your individual shape. When I find one I will search for more!
Look 3: Printed Skirts
Printed skirts are a big win for me when it comes to dressing for the office. I love finding bold prints that are long enough to be considered ‘work appropriate’ and that still compliment the natural shape. Tropical and floral prints are two of my favorites.
Quick note… many of the skirts I love come from affordable websites like SheIn and Amazon. I have always felt that, unless it’s a special occasion, I don’t need to spend a fortune on work clothes. You can find amazing deals on these sites!
Look 4: Colorful Bikinis
Personally, I am not a one-piece bathing suit gal. I love finding bikini tops and bottoms that fit well on my shape. Boring bikinis are just that… boring. Having simple colors is great for mixing and matching but I absolutely love my bright colors and prints!
Quick note… I used to be afraid to order bikinis online because of sizing issues but now I love picking up sets from Venus Swim! Their tops and bottoms fit true to size and are very flattering. Also, stay confident on your way to the beach with Tampax Pocket Radiant.
Look 5: Bright Playsuits
Jumpsuits and rompers were one look I always stayed away from because I feared it would hide my already small curves. I was wrong. After trying on many different styles I realized there are some that look really great on and actually make small curves look bigger.
Quick note… finding playsuits that have an elastic waistband have been the most comfortable for me. I also tend to hem the bottom a bit because the jumpsuits usually run longer. I have been loving the options available at Forever 21 and Asos this season!
