We were hosted complimentary by Hotel 48 Lex during our stay. As always, all opinions are my own.
I love spending a night in New York City’s when I can and this past weekend the perfect opportunity presented itself. Thanks to Hotel 48 Lex, we were provided a complimentary stay in exchange for our review. It took a total of 8 hours round-trip driving from Boston to New York; 3.5 hours there and 4.5 back (because rush hour). Having embarked on much longer road trips (i.e. DC and Acadia National Park) NYC is a breeze!
We arrived around noon and checked in our bags so we wouldn’t have to wait around for our room to be ready. The concierge team up front was super nice and gave us recommendations on where we should grab a bite to eat and see in the area. The hotel entrance is just off of the main road which leaves the entrance more quiet than some others we’ve stayed at in the past. I loved how welcoming and relaxed the interior made you feel walking in.
Post lunch, coffee, and a walk around the neighborhood we were notified of our open room. We headed right over to check in and explore the hotels amenities. Our bags were delivered right to our room which was really nice! Not all hotels have been gracious enough to do this for us.
The best part about the Master Suite room option is how homey it feels. You walk into a hallway with a fully stocked bar, snack cabinet and fridge which leads into the living room. Yes… a living room. This area had a chair and couch you could lounge in when you weren’t ready to hop in bed quite yet. It was a great space for my satellite office! The other rooms available to book are The Salons, The Central Suite, and The House (their penthouse).
Tucked around the corner is the bedroom which has a full view of the city. I love how much open space there is to look out while you’re relaxing. The room was a perfect size for sleeping and was very comfortable. Every time I go away I come home thinking I need a hotel mattress and this trip proved no exception!
Every aspect of this hotel and the rooms had a sense of luxury. The bathroom was sparkling with higher-end toiletries including those from Art of Shaving and Malin + Goetz.
Our favorite part of our stay had to be the complimentary ‘Wine & Cheese Reception‘ in the hotel lounge. Being a Sunday it was relatively quiet which gave us the opportunity to sip, snack, and plan the remainder of our evening. The hotel also offers a European-Style Breakfast Spread, Modern Tea, Fresh Fruits & Snacks, Reading Materials, and a Private Cocktail Bar.
Overall, I absolutely loved our stay here and can’t thank Hotel 48 Lex enough for the opportunity to experience it. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend for both leisure and business travel.
