A Day Out Shopping (And Eating) In Nantucket 🛍️

Thanks to Shop Nantucket and Nantucket Island Retail for hosting us!

I meant to get this post to you all sooner but I got a bit excited with the photos I wanted to share… naturally.

A group of us New England-based bloggers were invited to experience this fun outing on the gorgeous island of Nantucket.

Heads up:
You may see me refer to this sweet island as ACK as that is it’s popular nickname

This was my first time hopping on the ferry for a trip to ACK and I was really excited. Being the Martha’s Vineyard lover I am, I had very high expectations for the island and it did not disappoint. The environment is a bit more upscale and quaint than Oak Bluffs and reminded me a bit more of the Edgartown shopping center.

Transportation

We took the Hy-Line Cruises Nantucket ferry which costs about $77 for a round-trip and only takes an hour to get from one side to the other. There are other non-fast ferries you can take but, let’s face it, that would waste so much of your shopping time!

I really don’t mind the ferry ride and actually quite enjoy it when the weather keeps up. After a gloomy week, we picked the perfect sunny day for our trip.

The troopers we are, our group walked around all day. That’s right! No cars, bikes, or scooters to be seen with us. How can you go to Nantucket and not walk along the cobblestone streets?

Shopping

There were a bunch of shops that gave us a little walk-through and shared their history with us. It really was a lot of fun to get an idea of what these brands looked like behind the scenes.

Fashion
1. Perch
2. Charleston Shoe Company
3. Native Shoes
4. Olivela
5. Sara Campbell

Beauty
1. Beautycounter
2. Follain

Dining

The food joint that hosted us was Straight Wharf Fish Store which had a back deck with picnic-style tables. I got the tuna steak sandwich and it was very good! The lobster rolls were a great size and delic as well.

If you are looking for a spot that is a bit more upscale I would recommend Cru which has fresh oysters on the half-shell and a stunning view of the water. This is also a great spot to sit at the bar for a drink!

ICE CREAM

Obviously couldn’t forget to include my favorite meal of them all… ice cream. I got the raspberry sherbet (one of my favorites) and it was so refreshing. The other flavors and floats at Stars Ice Cream looked like worthy contenders as well.
