I lost. I walked backstage where I could have felt angry, hurt, defeated, embarrassed, etc. You know, all of those negative feelings we talked about in my Rejection blog post a few weeks back. I fully expected to feel that way after only making it so far in the process… but I didn’t.
Instead, I felt this wave of positive emotion take over. An overwhelming sense of gratitude and appreciation left me feeling oddly happy. It was due to the amazing women who supported me there all weekend and for all of YOU who showed so much love before hitting that stage.
Sometimes we can get so caught up in the loss that we forget to appreciate everything that went into it. Our hard work is never worthless and, by taking big chances, we are reminded of who is there supporting us. I never expected the feedback I received on my post one week ago. Your kind words of encouragement honestly made me tear up! It is hard to express how much I appreciate it but I really do.
Bianca Blogs has changed many times since it’s launch in 2015. I have poured hours into making it look beautiful and appealing for my readers and I am so happy you recognize that. This platform has helped me to become a more confident and proud young woman with a true sense of accomplishment. The community has given me the courage to continue stepping out of my own comfort zone to pursue challenges and follow my passions.
