Much of the time we consider Easter activities and gifts as for the children. In that case, I am here as an advocate for grown up Easter fun! Plus, Cafe Bustelo is a brand that is all about connecting with those you love.
Putting together an Easter basket can be a sweet way to connect with family and friends. In fact, I am putting one together for Paul for this coming Sunday. Inside I will put his favorite snacks and essentials that I know he will love.
Who you could give an Easter basket:
1 | Coworkers – put together one BIG basket for the office or team to share
2 | SO – what’s sweeter than giving your girlfriend or boyfriend a basket of love?
3 | Siblings – surprise your brothers and sisters with a fun gift
4 | Hosts – bring a basket for whoever is hosting your Easter party as a sign of appreciation!
My take on the grown up Easter basket obviously has to include coffee! I drink coffee every single day and I know many of you do too. If you are looking to theme your Easter basket, you could fill it will Monday morning treats to enjoy the day after Easter Sunday.
What’s in my grown up Easter basket:
Coffee
No matter who I am giving the basket to, I know they and/or their family will enjoy a quality brew. I would put in a canister or two of Cafe Bustelo. Their Espresso Style Ground Coffee and Supreme by Bustelo are my two favorites. If you know they don’t have a coffee pot, french press, or espresso maker then you can grab the Espresso Style K-Cup as an alternative.
Coffee Mugs
I would include one or two mugs with the coffee, depending on how many will be receiving the basket. You can choose a few fun mugs at your local Target or Walmart. Personally, I would choose something springy or tailored to their interests.
Easter Eggs
This one is a no brainer, right? You can pick up eggs in a variety of sizes and, let’s be honest, you are never too old to enjoy opening up hidden gifts (or at least I’m not). Fill some colorful Easter eggs with dollar bills, candy, packets of sugar for that coffee, and other trinkets.
Snacks
Everybody loves snacks. I would include 2-3 of their favorite snacks; more if they are small sizes. A few of my personal favorites would include a mix of sweet and salty: chocolate pretzels, walnuts (or some other trail mix/nut), biscottis, chocolate bars, etc. You could also include the classic Peeps to make the basket more seasonal.
Everything tastes good with a cup of Cafe Bustelo
A few extras & essentials you will need to put this together:
The Basket
No surprise here… you can find baskets at pretty much any store in all different shapes, sizes, and colors. Choose the one you like best and then the products after. You want to make sure you 1) have enough to fill it or 2) don’t get so much that it won’t fit! I like to choose a basket that they can use again. So, usually I pick one that is either white or beige.
Tissue Paper/Confetti
Pick up a brightly colored filler for the bottom of the basket. An Easter basket just wouldn’t be the same without some extra fluff. Plus, this is where you can make the colors stand out! I like the shredded paper for baskets because it is more full and generally looks better. You can find it in just about any color imaginable.
Everyone is unique which means every Easter basket is unique. That is what makes putting these together (and receiving them) so much fun! Add your own twists and tag me on social #BiancaBlogs so I can see your baskets this weekend.
Thanks to Cafe Bustelo for sponsoring this post and for always keeping me happy & caffeinated. You can find all of their products online and at your favorite shops.
Until next time!
