Now that you have all heard the engagement story, it’s time to talk about THE RING. Paul had no hint of what to get me. I am, admittedly so, the type of person who changes their mind more often than not. I never showed him rings I liked, had no vision as to what I wanted (they’re ALL gorgeous), and gave no indication of where to shop. It actually surprised me when I found out that people gave their future fiancees so much insight!
Paul, knowing he was making one of his biggest purchases to date, did his due diligence on researching ring styles, diamond clarities, and the best New England-based retailers for engagement rings. Considering both service and selection, his final decision was to go with Springer’s Jewelers in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This local business also has storefronts in Bath and Portland, Maine.
I am SO excited to be partnering with Springer’s Jewelers now that the cats out of the bag (lol) because they have a truly remarkable team. After we were engaged, both the store and specialist Paul worked with reached out to congratulate us. Christie, whom we purchased our rings from, was incredible! She knows what she’s talking about, provides exceptional service, and was overall a very kind person.
I hadn’t visited myself yet until I went to get my ring sized (it was a tad too big) and had an exceptional experience of my own. After thinking about it a bit and chatting with the Springer’s team, we knew we wanted to choose our wedding bands from their store as well. Plus, for those of you who are not in need of a ring, they have an incredible selection of vintage & modern jewelry and watches as well (they’re a certified Rolex dealer!).
Paul and I both picked out our weddings bands on our most recent visit and we’re looking forward to picking them up. They have a gorgeous selection of rings to choose from in both platinum and gold (plus other unique metals and stones). We both decided to go with gold! I wear tons of two-tone jewelry so it made the most sense for me and he preferred the look of the gold for himself. The one he chose looks great on him and I loved how customizable the men’s rings were.
They really have something for everyone because all styles are so different. It’s crazy how many you look through when you’re looking for “the one” but you know the minute that ring slips on your finger that you’ve found it. I only ended up trying on three wedding bands and went with the first I tried on. She recommended wearing them with the ring to see how I liked them together and it really helped me to make my decision.
We ended up purchasing a gorgeous ring as a birthday gift for Paul’s mom while we were there. I know we’ll continue going back for other gifts over the years and just to say hello to our favorite jewelers!
